Carol Lonidier
Chief Executive Officer
Since Review Med was founded in 1997, Carol Lonidier has served as
the company’s chief executive officer. In this capacity, Lonidier
oversees the firm’s financial management, as well as its peer
review and legal functions.
Lonidier specializes in start-up and management of medical companies.
She launched her career in the medical field by opening a practice
for an ear-nose-and-throat physician in Louisiana.
After moving to Texas, Lonidier joined two
well-known Dallas physicians as the administrator of their medical
practice in 1988. Over a decade, she helped grow the business from
a single office that depended almost entirely on Medicare-funded
cases to a practice with 12 office locations and six doctors. She
implemented a strategy that moved the practice into the more lucrative
areas of worker’s compensation and PPO-funded
patients. In 1992, she managed the launch of a North Dallas physical
therapy clinic, which later was sold to NovaCare. Another physical
therapy clinic Lonidier helped open in 1997 was sold to HealthSouth
in 1999.
In 1997, Lonidier was tapped to launch a medical review practice for
the doctors, and Review Med was born. She continued to manage the medical
practice until 1999, when she moved to Review Med full-time.
Shelly Bordonaro
President
As president for Review Med, Shelly Bordonaro
oversees marketing and business development. She develops the company’s
protocols and programs while also managing the account team and its
activities.
Bordonaro offers more than 18 years of experience in the medical cost
containment industry. She has developed expertise in medical case management,
peer review and overall cost containment operations.
Bordonaro launched her career at All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth,
where she was a discharge planner. In this capacity, Bordonaro assisted
patients as they moved to new facilities or went home, arranging for
physical therapy, nursing care and other needs.
She then joined a Dallas cost-containment
services firm, where she served as a sales representative for medical
care management and peer review. Then, in 1992, Bordonaro was hired
to oversee marketing for a Dallas physical therapy practice. There
she helped promote the practice and educated insurance company adjustors
about physical rehabilitation services. When Review Med was launched
by the practice’s doctors
in 1997, Bordonaro was tapped to handle marketing for the new venture.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from North Texas State
University
